The PST factory of HKS uses advanced Post-Shredder Technology. This is a set of techniques that, among other things, can separate various types of plastics. This factory processes shredder waste, making a crucial contribution towards realising the mandatory recycling target of at least 95 per cent of end-of-life vehicles, by weight. The process is broken down into various modules that extract finely shredded minerals, plastics, fibres and metal residues from the shredder waste.
Initially established by ARN, the PST factory was transferred to the market in 2020. The factory’s opening, back in April 2011, was a crucial step towards realising the target of being able to recycle at least 95 per cent of end-of-life vehicles.
