Plastic can be found in many places in a car. Some parts are easy to remove, such as the dashboard, and can be recycled in their entirety.

A great example of plastic recycling is the 3D printer ink developed by the Better Future Factory (BFF) in Rotterdam. The plastic comes from car dashboards recovered from end-of-life cars. BFF is a design and development agency for sustainable products. The 3D printer ink has found its way to customers across the globe since 2015.

The plastics that dismantling companies cannot salvage from the end-of-life cars eventually arrive at the PST plant where they are separated for other applications.
