Approved Sustainability (Plus)

The partnership established between ARN and BOVAG means that car companies will in future be able to choose from three types of scan:

• ARN Environmental Scan shows companies how they currently perform in terms of waste management and energy consumption.
• Approved Sustainability Certificate scan from BOVAG. Car dealers assess companies on environmental aspects of their business, the sustainability of their operations and their human resources policy.
• Approved Sustainability Certificate Plus scan integrates the first two scans to produce the most comprehensive scan of aspects of corporate social responsibility for car companies.

ARN performs the assessments of the car companies for all of the scans. Since it was introduced, the ARN Environmental Scan has been carried out more than 100 times. In 2011, ARN performed 20 scans for the Approved Sustainability Certificate and 58 scans for the Approved Sustainability Certificate Plus. Businesses that are not members of BOVAG, can still request an ARN Environmental Scan.
